How To Add A Self Selling Voice AI Demo To Your Site

Disclosure: I am an independent entity from HighLevel, not an agent or employee. I earn a commission if you sign up through my links, at no extra cost to you.

You know that moment on a sales call where you are explaining what AI can do and you can feel the person nodding without hearing you.

It is not that they do not believe you. They just cannot picture it.

So stop explaining.

Put a voice agent on your own website that interviews the business owner about their business, then turns around and role-plays a real customer call for that exact business, in their industry, using their rules.

They stop listening to a pitch and start watching their own company run better.

To add a self selling voice AI demo to your site, install the AI Sells Itself agent from the HighLevel marketplace, pick a voice, edit the prompt and welcome message with your agency name, create a Voice AI chat widget under Sites, copy the embed code, and paste it into a custom HTML element on your page. The whole build takes under an hour.

Here is every click.

What you need before you start

  • Access to the sub-account where you run your agency, since that is where your website and your agent will live. If you do not have an account yet, you canstart a 30-day free trial here

  • Your agency name and what you want to call your booked call

  • About an hour

No coding. You will paste one snippet, and that is the extent of it.

Part one, install the agent

Step 1: Go to AI Agents, then Voice AI

Make sure you are in the sub-account where your agency lives. On the left-hand side, clickAI Agents, then selectVoice AIat the top.

Step 2: Click Create Agent

You can build a custom agent or use the flow builder. Do neither for now.

Step 3: Browse the marketplace

ClickBrowse the marketplace, thenContinue.

Look for the agent calledAI Sells Itself. That is the one that demos for your agency. There is a second self-selling agent in there too, so test both and keep the one you like.

While you are in there, notice what else is sitting on the shelf, because this is what you will sell later. There is an all-in-one receptionist, plus agents built for specific industries: auto repair and services, real estate, HVAC, home services, and more. When you close a client, you install the one for their industry instead of building from scratch.

Step 4: Install it

Click install, thenAllow and Install.

You will see a success message at the top right. Close out, go to your agent list, and your AI Sells Itself agent is there.

Part two, pick the voice

Step 5: Open the agent for editing

Click the three dots next to the agent and choose edit.

Step 6: Sort the voices before you listen

There are a lot of voices, so filter first.

  • Provider.ElevenLabs, OpenAI, and others

  • Language

  • Accent.American and several others

  • Gender

If you are selling to businesses in the US, sort to American accents first. Otherwise you will fall in love with a British voice named Katie and confuse every prospect who hears her.

Step 7: Listen before you commit

Each voice has a play button, and a thumbs up rating showing how other people have scored it.

Listen to three or four. The one in this walkthrough is Jessica, friendly and conversational, which suits a demo where you want the prospect to relax and talk.

Save the voice.

Part three, make the prompt yours

The prompt comes pre-built, which is why this is fast. You are editing, not writing.

Here is what is already in there and what to change:

Section of the prompt

What it does

What to change

Role specification

Tells the agent it is running a live simulation showing how it would work for the visitor's business

Usually nothing

Agent name

Defaults to Samantha

Change it to whatever fits your brand

Information gathering

The questions it asks the business owner, starting with what their business is

Add any question you want asked

Objection handling

Covers skepticism about AI and cost concerns

Add objections you hear often

Closing statement

Ends with watching their phone for a message to schedule their impact session

Rename "impact session" to discovery call, live demo, or whatever you call it

Welcome message

The very first thing the agent says, pulling in your location name from custom fields

Update the name here too

Step 8: Rename the agent, in both places

This is the one that catches people.

If you change the agent's name in the prompt, change it in the welcome message too. Otherwise she introduces herself as Sarah in one breath and Samantha in the next, and your prospect notices.

Step 9: Edit the closing so it matches your process

The default closing tells the visitor to watch their phone for a message to schedule their session. Change the name of that session to whatever you actually call it on your calendar.

Small thing. It is the difference between a demo that feels like yours and one that feels like a template.

Part four, test it before anyone sees it

Step 10: Start a web call

Use the web call feature. There is a phone call option too, but the web call is what matters here since that is how it will live on your site.

Talk to it like a prospect would. Tell it about a business, give it a quirk, and see if it holds.

In this walkthrough, the prospect says she runs a hair salon for women who love luxurious hair, that they handle bookings and questions and support, that the tone should be warm but professional, and that the salon requires 24 hours notice for appointments.

Then the agent flips. It becomes the salon's own receptionist, greets a caller, and when that caller asks to book two days out, it confirms the date, mentions the 24-hour policy back to her, checks the time, takes a note that the salon will supply the extensions, and confirms the whole booking.

Sixty seconds. It used her policy, her business, her tone.

If you owned that salon, you would be sold. That is the entire point.

Part five, put it on your website

Step 11: Create the widget

Go toSites, thenChat Widget. Create a new chat and choose theVoice AIwidget.

Step 12: Choose embed inline and the visualizer

Selectembed inlineon the left-hand side.

Then pick your look. You can use a display avatar that says call us, or the visualizer, which is an orbit the visitor clicks to start talking. The visualizer looks better on a page and invites the click.

Step 13: Style it to your brand

Set the appearance. There is a default blue green, or you can enter your own brand color. You can also set the font family, and the widget size at small, medium, or large.

Save it.

Step 14: Get the code

At the top right, clickGet Codeand copy it. This goes in the body of your page.

Part six, the website itself

If you do not have an agency site yet, build one in the same place.

Step 15: Generate the site

Go toSites, thenWebsites, thenNew Website, and choose to build with AI.

It asks you a few questions:

  • The name of your website

  • Your business niche, for example marketing agency

  • Your goal, for example generate leads

  • Your target audience, for example small businesses

  • What you are offering, from a free consultation, a free trial, an ebook, a special discount, a product or service, or other

Pick generate leads and a free consultation if you are not sure. Then hit generate and let it build.

You will get a full agency page in a couple of minutes. Add your logo and adjust the copy later. Do not redesign it today.

Step 16: Drop in the widget code

Click the plus sign to add an element and search for the custom HTML and JavaScript block.

Open the code editor, paste in the widget code, and save.

Then save the page and publish it.

Step 17: Look at your own site

Open it and click the orbit.

Your demo is live, and it will run that conversation for anyone who lands on your page, at any hour, without you.

Where to send people once it is live

This is what most people forget to plan.

  • Your homepage.Anyone who finds you can try it

  • A dedicated landing page.Cleaner for outreach, and easier to track

  • Local events. This is the one I would not skip. Have people opt into a form at the event that sends them to the demo page. You capture their information, they get the experience, and you follow up with a nurture email sequence you build in the same platform

You end up with a website, a demo, and a follow-up system, all in one place. If you want to build that out, start your 30 days free here.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Renaming the agent in the prompt but not the welcome message. She introduces herself with two different names.

  • Leaving the default closing.Change the session name to what you actually call your calls.

  • Picking a voice with the wrong accent for your market.Sort by accent before you start listening.

  • Publishing without testing a web call.Talk to it first, every time.

  • Pasting the code but not saving the element.Save the code block, then save the page, then publish. Three separate actions.

  • Redesigning the website before you have a client. The generated site is enough to start. Sell first.

Frequently asked questions

What is a self selling voice AI demo?

It is a voice agent on your own website that asks a visiting business owner about their business, then role-plays a customer call as if it already worked for them. Instead of explaining what AI could do for a prospect, you let them hear it handling their own type of call.

Do I have to build the agent from scratch?

No. The HighLevel marketplace has a pre-built agent called AI Sells Itself that you install in a couple of clicks. You then edit the prompt, the agent name, and the closing line. There are also industry agents for real estate, HVAC, auto repair, and home services to install for clients.

Can I change the voice and accent of my agent?

Yes. You can filter voices by provider, language, accent, and gender, and each one has a play button plus a rating from other users. Listen to a few before you choose, and match the accent to the market you are selling into so it sounds natural to your prospects.

How do I add the voice widget to a website?

Create a Voice AI chat widget under Sites, then Chat Widget. Choose embed inline, set your colors and size, save, and click Get Code. On your page, add a custom HTML and JavaScript element, paste the code in the editor, save the element, then save and publish the page.

Do I need my own website first?

No. You can generate an agency website inside HighLevel by answering a few questions about your niche, your goal, your audience, and your offer. It builds the page for you in a couple of minutes, and you add the widget to it the same way you would on any other site.

How much does it cost to try this?

You can build the agent, the widget, and the website during the30-day free trial. That is enough time to get your demo live and start showing it to local businesses before you spend anything.

Build your demo before you build anything else

Do not spend three weeks learning the platform. Spend one afternoon building the thing that sells for you.

Install the agent. Pick a voice. Change the name. Test a web call. Put it on a page. Go show it to somebody.
